Dr. Unal is one of the twenty outstanding young persons in the World, selected by JCI-World in 2018. Dr. Unal received more than dozens of international prestigious awards from leading scientific societies. His current research is at the interface of biomechanical engineering, orthopedics, and biomedical Raman spectroscopy, focusing on transferring Raman spectroscopy into the clinic to better understand changes associated with orthopaedic diseases, and to provide clinically meaningful measurements.
